Elvea

Elvea graduated from the National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours, Distinction). Prior to that, she obtained a Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education (Merit) from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and was also the recipient of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Scholarship.
Elvea worked as an Associate Psychologist and has had experience in working closely with children and adolescents with intellectual disability and social, emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties. She was with a Special Education School for 4 years and on a regular basis, she delivers intervention programmes in line with Positive Behaviour Support theories.
She also regularly conducts group therapy programmes that focus on developing social and emotional regulation skills. She also has experience in administering Cognitive assessments and Adaptive Behaviour assessments. Elvea also has familiarity in producing relevant reports such as Psychological Reports, Assessments for the Mental Capacity Act, and Behaviour Reports for students.
Elvea also completed internships at different organisations such as the Institute of Mental Health, Ministry of Social and Family Development, and WeeCare. She also worked as an Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) Therapist where she worked with children of various special needs such as ADHD, ASD and Asperger’s Syndrome and conducted home-based one-to-one ABA therapy sessions for children with special needs.
As an associate Psychologist with years of experience in varied backgrounds (special education school and private centres), Elvea is deeply passionate about providing empathetic therapeutic interventions that are individualised to clients’ needs, and hopes to make an impact in improving the lives of those with needs.
