Dr. Gary B. Mesibov is a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the former Director of the Division TEACCH (Internationally recognized program pioneering approaches with regards to treatment, training, research and education of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder) for more than 30 years. Dr Mesibov attained degrees from Stanford University, University of Michigan, Brandies University and postdoctoral fellowship from the University of North Carolina.

He is the Editor of the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders and the 1989 recipient Paediatric Psychology’s Distinguished Professional Contribution Award. Dr Mesibov is the co-editor of the series, Current Issues in Autism, published by the Plenum Publishing Corporation. Dr Mesibov also sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and Journal of Clinical Child Psychology. Dr Mesibov has published numerous journals and also authored and co-authored many books on autism spectrum disorder and related issues.

As an International Consultant of Nurture Pods, Dr Mesibov helps to ensure that the intervention programs and curriculum at the Centre for child development and Early Intervention is in accordance with the world recognized TEACCH program in the University of North Carolina. Using his extensive experiences and expertise in the field, Dr Mesibov will assist to enable that the programs in Nurture Pods will meet its objectives and be efficacious in the management of children with special needs.
