Meet the Specialists
Cassandra

Cassandra acquired her Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2019. She has a fervour towards using her creativity to help each child with special needs reach their fullest potential. She believes that every child has their own special gifts and/or capabilities, regardless of their disabilities or impairments. It is her hope to find and hone those capabilities to build children up to believe in themselves.
In her previous role, she worked as an English Teacher for Pre-Primary and Primary levels at an Enrichment Centre. In tandem with teaching, she assisted with curriculum development and conducted holiday workshops. As the centre was a social enterprise, opportunities arose to work with children with mild special needs (ADHD, GDD, speech impairments, behavioural issues) at the centre itself, community service centres and children’s shelters. It was through these experiences that she developed a zeal to help children with special needs.
She hopes to continue learning more about special needs so that she may build an arsenal of behaviour management strategies and differentiated approaches to teaching, to better help each child grow to be motivated individuals in future. For every child learns differently, and she hopes to be able to use their interests and/or find new ways to help them learn.
